Ranchi, April 14: Jharkhand is on the mode to finalize a policy which will act as a bridge between Culture of the state and employment. This policy has tried to bring benefits to the local people. As per the policy one who wants a job has to appear for an examination in their own district’s language.

However, it will be able to take final shape only after it will be sent to the government on April 17.

If this policy is implemented in the state, then a separate language or more than one language will be notified for every district, which will be the language of the district. It is mandatory for the youth to pass in the third and fourth grade in this language before employment.

A hundred-digit examination of the language of the district will be in which at least 30 marks will be brought. Questions will be linked to Jharkhand only. The same candidates will be considered qualified, who will be able to pass the examination keeping the information of the district's political, geographical, economic history etc.

Only after passing the 'History and Culture of Jharkhand' will be eligible for other subjects to appear in the examination. Local candidates will be required to know the language, lifestyle, dress, customs etc. of that district.

Thus, every district will declare its tribal or regional language and written examination will be held in that language. Apart from district level appointments, the committee is going to recommend the eligibility of the local language in the equivalent examinations of these posts organized by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and the Staff Selection Commission.

Local and regional languages spoken in Jharkhand are more than a dozen. Some of these are Khortha, Khadiya, Kudukh, Kurmali, Nagpuri, Panchpargania, Santhali, Mundari, Ho, Angika, Maithili, Bhojpuri etc.
