The public outrage for the unsparing incident of the Kathua rape and murder case has shaken the country as a whole. Condemning the incident many people have come forward to support the family and fight for justice not only for asifa by for everyone who goes through injustice.

The Bollywood fraternity has been quite vocal about incidents happening in the society and one such incident wherein the fraternity has come back together is for #JusticeforAsifa.

Sunday morning witnessed a campaign on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, by many known faces in the Bollywood, who pleaded for #JusticeforAsifa. As the horrific details of the two rape cases unfold celebrities and commoners alike are expressing their anger and shock at the dismal state of affairs. Appalled by these shameful incidents, the celebrities are demanding for justice in their own way. Through their social media posts, they are also encouraging their fans and followers to do the same.

Actors like Swara Bhasker, Anushka Sharma, Nimrit Kaur, Kalki Koechlin, Gul Panag, Konkana Sen Sharma and many others took to Twitter and started tweeting photos of them saying – I’m a Hindustani, I’m Ashamed.

Soon enough Javed and Farhan Akhtar, Rajkumar Rao, Akshay Kumar, Badshah, Kamal Hassan everyone demanded justice for Asifa. Personalities such as Sania Mirza, Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Bachchan took to social media to condemn the two brutal incidents that have shocked the nation.

Demanding severe punishment to the accused, many celebrities have condemned the incident on social media. Bollywood stars have joined the massive wave of protest that has swept India after an eight-year-old Asifa was raped and murdered.

Background:

Asifa Bano was kidnapped when she was grazing horses near her home on January 10, kept sedated and gang-raped repeatedly for days by a group that included police officers. She was drugged and not given food the entire time. Just before her head was bashed in with a rock, one of the police officers asked the killer to wait so he could rape the child one more time, according to the police charge-sheet submitted in court.
