Cauvery Water Management Board on cards: Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit

Chennai, April 19: Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit has announced that central government has initiated the process of much awaited Cauvery Water Management Board for the implementation of Supreme Court’s directives on long pending inter-state water sharing row. Addressing the media persons here, Purohit stated that Central government is closely monitoring the developments of Cauvery.

Informing about the meeting with Union water Resource Minister Nitin Gadkari, the Tamil Nadu governor assured that central will do justice to both the states. Referring to the recently held Governor’s conference in the national capital, Purohit said that he had categorically mentioned about the Tamil Nadu’s plight on water dispute.
