#Startupindia Yatra van gets green flag from CM Rawat

Dehradun, April 2: Organized under the StartupIndia initiative, Startup India Yatra is the tier 2/3 initiative that will travel to small cities of India to search for entrepreneurial talent and help develop startup ecosystem in the state. The Uttarakhand Edition is traveling to eight cities of Uttarakhand and will conclude at a grand finale to be hosted in Dehradun. CM Rawat gave a green flag to the Uttarakhand Startup Yatra Van today.

 

CM Rawat in his tweet said, “ Uttarakhand startup Travel 2018" was flagged off by the aim of increasing employment through startup. The natural resources in Uttarakhand have strong potential for startups. Small entrepreneurs can employ thousands of youths through startup.”

The day-long boot camp in each city will include presentations on Startup India and Uttarakhand Startup policy followed by an extensive ideation workshop. An idea pitching session will be held to select the foremost ideas and Startups for the Grand Finale.

 

Startup India Yatra van will travel to various cities of Uttarakhand starting from Dehradun. This vehicle will travel around the state with the following objectives:

1. Spreading awareness about Startup India and Uttarakhand Startup Policy

2. Opportunity to pitch an idea and get selected for the acceleration programme

Numerous colleges have been identified with respect to each destination. Van will stop at these colleges.
