Driving on wrong side? Be ready to get your tyres slashed in Pune

Pune, April 2: Flouting signals, speeding unnecessarily, riding on footpaths…we often notice people so easily disrespect traffic rules! And the temperature surges up because no action is taken against such hooligans. Pune authorities in its stern move have blasting idea to punish drivers from driving on the wrong side of the road.

 

“Tyre Killers” have been installed in Amanora Park town of Pune and from this move, the authorities hope to bring down the number of drivers driving on the wrong side of the road. Spikes are pointed in the opposite direction of the right lane, they will puncture tyres of those breaking traffic lane discipline.

The tyre slashers are sharp spikes installed on roads in an inclined manner. If you are driving in the correct lane, they will simply act as speed breakers, and make you reduce the driving speed.

Don’t worry, drivers! If you are driving from the right side: your tyres are safe.
