National award-winning Baahubali: The Conclusion to hit China screens on May 4

Hyderabad, April 20: SS Rajamauli’s national award-winning blockbuster Baahubali: The Conclusion is all set to take on Chines box-office. According to media reports, the magnum opus will hit the screen on May 4th. After the earth-shattering success in India, Baahubali franchise is gearing up for the most awaited China release. The first installment of the epic drama grabbed the business of more than $100 million. Recently, Baahubali had completed its 100 days run in Japan with box office collection over US$1.3 million.

The second installment of the period drama will be presented by E-Stars Media which managed the exhibition of the first part. If reports are to be believed, the makers have already completed the censor process. Aamir Khan-starring “Dangal”, Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and Secret Superstar,” have already marked its presence on the Chinese box office. Last week, Baahubali had bagged national awards for Best Popular Wholesome Entertainment Film, Best Action Choreography (King Solomon, Lee Whittaker, Kecha Khamphakdee) and Best Special Effects (R.C. Kamalakannan).

India’s first highest grosser, Baahubali: The Conclusion is the brainchild of Veteran Writer V Vijayendra Prasad, father of legendary director SS Rajamauli. The Prabhas starrer two-part magnum opus was originally shot in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan, Nassar, Subba Raju in pivotal roles. The epic drama was bankrolled by the leading production houses down south helmed by Producer Shobu Yarlagadda.
