Congress’s Karnataka victory will set agenda for 2019: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

Mysore, April 20: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah predicted that Victory of Congress will revive the national political discourse in the country. Speaking to the media here, the Karnataka Chief Minister noted that BJP’s defeat will set the tone for 2019 general elections.

Clearing the air on Badami assembly segment, Siddaramaiah stated that he will follow the directions of party officials. He informed that after due consultation with Congress National President Rahul Gandhi he will take the final call on the poll fray. One faction from state Congress is pitching hard for Siddaramaiah’s Badami contest keeping consolidation of Congress votes in Bagalkot district.

When asked about the poll alliances with other outfits, the Chief Minister clarified that ruling party will not forge any allice with any political party. Ahead of nomination for Karnataka Elections Siddaramaiah visited the Chamundeshwari temple along with his son Yatindra who is contesting from Varuna seat.
