AIADMK refutes piece on BJP- AIADMK alliance; sacks newspaper staff

Chennai, April 24: Issuing a clarification on Namadhu Puratchi Thalaivi Amma’s latest piece on BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AIADMK stated that party has no plans to team up with Centre’s ruling party BJP ahead of the 2019 general election. It also noted that the Tamil Nadu’s ruling party even after the demise of former Chief Minister and AIADMK President J Jayalalitha will face the poll alone.

Meanwhile, anticipating the political rucks, party sacked Columnist Thirumalai & the sub-editor for hailing BJP- AIADMK poll pact. On the other hand, senior Leader and Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar said that party top brass will take the final call on poll alliance at right time. 'Namadhu Puratchi Thalaivi Amma' is a mouthpiece of AIADMK in which an article advocating poll understanding between BJP and AIADMK was published.
