PM Modi touches down in China; Sun rises up to witness superpowers share friendly talks

Beijing, April 27: Today the sun rose up to one of the historic moments for Indo-China relations after Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched down China on Tuesday late night. PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are set to hold informal summit further paving way for sweetening bilateral ties. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Wuhan last night, was warmly received by Kong Xuanyou, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of foreign affairs of China, Luo Zhaohui (Ambassador), Tong Daochi (Vice-Governor of Hubei) and many others.

 

Post this, External Affairs Minister Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said “A special moment past midnight as PM @narendramodi was warmly welcomed in Wuhan for the 1st Informal Summit with Chinese President Xi. The two leaders will review the developments in our bilateral relations from a strategic and long-term perspective.”

 

With this informal summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Modi are panned to exchange views on a range of issues of bilateral and global importance. They will discuss their visions and priorities for development, in context of current and future international situations, PM Modi said before leaving for Wuhan.

This informal summit aims to realign India-China ties and track both nations to work together. Before his departure to China, PM Modi said Discussions on “a range of issues of bilateral and global importance,” would be shaped by the “visions and priorities for national development, particularly in the context of the current and future international situation, in a press statement. “We will also review the developments in the India-China relations from a strategic and long-term perspective,” it added.

Super leaders PM Modi, Xi Jinping are set to share talks on development, global issues, mutual stability, international trade etc.
