Delhi police nabs two pro-Pakistani Kashmiri hackers; hacked over 500 Indian websites

Chandigarh, April 28: The special cell of Delhi police on Friday got a massive breakthrough after it arrested two Kashmiri hackers who were pro-Pakistan and hacked over 500 Indian websites from the two locations of Punjab.

 

The special cell of Delhi police acting on a specific input arrested two Kashmiri hackers who were identified as Shahid Malla and Adil Hussain Teli after raiding two locations in Punjab. Laptops, mobile phones, SIM cards, internet dongles and memory devices were recovered from their possession. The case has been registered and all the devices will be examined by the Delhi Police in detail to ascertain their role in anti-state activities.

PS Kushwah, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) confirming the news and said, "As per their online activities and initial findings, the two were part of an anti-national hacking group called ‘Team Hackers Third Eye', and claimed to have hacked more than 500 Indian websites. “

They were also involved in educating Kashmiri youth to bypass a state-imposed social media ban by the use of VPN during April-May 2017," he added. The DCP further noted that the two youths were found to be in contact with several Pakistan-based anti-Indian hackers who are backed by Pakistani intelligence agencies. He also stated that both Shahid Malla and Adil Hussain Teli were found to be pro-Kashmiri terrorism and pro-Pakistan as they had made anti-India posts.

BACKGROUND:

A 28-year-old Shahid Malla is a second year B Tech student at a college in Punjab’s Rajpora. Malla belongs to Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir and was staying on rent in Sheetal Colony, Rajpura. While, a 20-year-old Adil Hussain Teli is a final-year BCA student at an institute in Punjab’s Jalandhar. Teli belongs to Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir and was staying in a rented accommodation in a colony in Jalandhar.
