India Rankings 2018 jots down the best higher education institutes; Bengaluru tops the list
New Delhi, April 3: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru has topped in the country as the best universities. Following this, JNU, Delhi is at the second position and BHU, Banaras is at number three in the list of top 10 universities in India. Today, HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar has issued NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) India Ranking for the year 2018.
In the same way, IIM-Ahmedabad has been named in the list of top 10 management institutes, while IIT-Madras at number one of the top 10 engineering institutes list. Similarly, Miranda House and St Stephen's, Delhi have played in the top ten colleges list.
Medical and Dental Colleges are also being ranked for the first time this year under NIRF. NIRF ranked first in the year 2016. At that time there were four categories-ranking in the university, engineering, management, and pharmacy. Overall and college category were included in 2017. In the 2017 India Rankings, 3000 institutions across the country were included.
