Meghalaya CM thanks Sushma Swaraj; expresses wish to boost trade and culture with ASEAN nations

Shillong, April 3: Newly elected Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma expressed gratitude towards External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for taking keen interest on issues related to improving road connectivity with Bangladesh and on setting up of Passport Seva Kenda in Meghalaya. 

Greeting Sushma Swaraj, CM Sangma expressed his vision for looking forward to boost trade and cultural relations with ASEAN Nations.

 

Further Meghalaya CM also thanked Narendra Singh Tomar for providing assurance in ensuring smooth implementation of central schemes.

 

Looking ahead to boost up tourism of Meghalaya, CM Sangma thanked Tourism Minister K J Alphons saying “there is an urgent need to tap tourism potential of #Meghalaya in sync with creating avenues for the farming community as well as youth to take entrepreneurial activities.”
 
Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju took to Twitter to express his pride, he said we all are very proud of the young & dynamic Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma. I'm delighted to meet him today at North Block office. My best wishes to him in his endeavour to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Meghalaya.
 

Prior to this CM Sangma called on Dr Jitendra Singh and discussed on a wide range of issues of various development projects of Meghalaya.
