Hyderabad, April 3: Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has urged center to install the Wireless Telemetry System to measure the usage of Krishna water by both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In an official communication, the Minister conveyed his reservations to Union water resources minister Nitin Gadkari in this regard.
Underlining the importance of a robust telemetry system, Rao maintained that technological intervention would ease out the water evaluation problem between two southern states. The Minister also expressed concern over the alleged large-scale irregularities in the release of Krishna waters. He urged central Water Commission to resolve the contentious matter for the interest of the state.
