Yogendra Yadav’s Swaraj India to contest Karnataka polls

Bengaluru/New Delhi, April 4: Activist Yogendra Yadav’s Swaraj India is all set to contest the upcoming assembly polls in Karnataka. In an official statement, Yadav’s party announced that on 12 seats Swaraj India will field its candidates. The party will contest two seats in Mandya district, one each in Bengaluru, Chamarajanagara, Chitradurga and Yadgir districts.

As quoted by NDTV, Darshan Puttannaiah will contest from Melukote and S.H. Linge Gowda from Maddur in Mandya, K.P. Bhoothaiah from Challakere in Chitradurga, S. Srikantaswamy from Hanur in Charamajanagar, Ramesh Chandra from Mahadevapura in Bengaluru and Vaijanath Patil from Yadgir. The Karnataka will go to poll on May 12 and results will be out on May 15.
