Creating pollution free waves through e-boating, Varanasi attains more sightseeing attractions

Varanasi, April 5: An initiative with its own benefits. Varanasi the pious land of religious legacy continues to woo people with its extraordinary scenario and environment. The latest addition to the fleet that has been servicing customers for generations is e-boats being launched by Union Minister Giriraj Singh.

A major feature of holy city Varanasi is the custom of sightseeing on boats. These e-boats will ensure pollution free boating and a cleaner Ganga. It is also a government initiative to generate employment. Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that the e-boat scheme is part of PM Narendra Modi's vision of a cleaner, better Varanasi.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh has gifted more e-boats as Varanasi steadily builds on the strength of eco-friendly boats. He took a tour in the electronic boat and inspected other works on various Ghats on Ganges. The minister quoted that the e-boat service is a dream come true for Prime Minister which was introduced by him in the year 2016.

 

The boatsmen are delighted by the introduction of e-boats and have said that they had asked the Prime Minister for this facility and it has now got fulfilled as per their request. E-boats are increasingly emerging as a profitable option for the boating community. This initiative will not only curb pollution but provide more employment opportunities in Varanasi.

Five E-boats were first launched by Prime Minister Modi in the year 2016. The boats control both air and noise pollution. Commuters are quite happy with the noiseless travel.

Gifting the e-boats to the people in Varanasi, it has encouraged ease in employment for the boatsmen and also paved a path to enhance tourism in the city.
