K Chandrasekhar Rao summons state officials over CAG findings

Hyderabad, April 6: Taking a serious cognizance of the irregularities spotted by Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked officials to trace the details of power purchases by the state government. According to media reports, KCR directed state power department to release the details of power purchases done in the last four years.
Earlier, the Comptroller and Auditor General took serious objections over the power purchases of Telangana government. The CAG report accuses state government of manipulating audit to hide the revenue-deficit. Meanwhile, top officials from state electricity board have been summoned to asked to provide an explanation to CAG on its observations.
