Nepal PM KP Oli accorded ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan

New Delhi, April 7: Nepal Prime Minister KP Oli who's on a three-day visit to India has today been accorded a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Earlier, the Nepal PM met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi.

 

Both the leaders will jointly inaugurate the Birgunj Integrated Check Post through remote control from New Delhi today. This checkpoint of Birgunj based in Nepal's Parsa district will be equipped with modern equipment. On this check post, customs, cold storage and banking services will be available in one place.

“No other countries in the world have the bonds of friendship and cooperation that exist between India and Nepal. Regular exchanges of visits at the highest political level demonstrate the priority that we attach to our special partnership,” President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted.

It further read that India’s abiding interest is in the stability and economic prosperity of Nepal, and that India stood ready to expand cooperation with Nepal as per Nepal’s priorities.

The Nepal PM had earlier on Friday arrived in New Delhi, and was received by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Oli said that he is optimistic about the visit and has positive expectations from his Indian counterpart.

The Nepal PM is accompanied by his wife and a 54-member high-level delegation of the country. Treaties that were signed between the two countries earlier will be discussed and updates regarding the same will be deliberated on too.
