After doing three-part series in News Bharti, I had assumed I won’t have anything more to add to the lynching of Guha by burka and related issues, but The Wire (popularly known as The Liar in social media) presented another opportunity to me.

As if intellectual lynching of Ramachandra Guha in different secular, liberal publications after his comparison of burka with trishul in his article in Indian Express to defend Sonia Gandhi, was not enough, he was reduced to a caricature on a show of The Wire. (Wide Angle, Episode 26: The Liberal Churn,

On the show, he was brought face to face with Harsh Mander and in a way made to apologise on video for his article. His body language was that of an ISIS captive and Harsh Mander was thoroughly enjoying his discomfort almost like an ISIS soldier, if I may add.

Guha the historian (he reminds several times on the show that he is a historian) in the beginning of the show indirectly apologises by saying he was careless in comparing burka with Trishul. Mander doesn’t say a word of comfort to Guha, so much for friendship, something which Guha keeps repeating in the show.

One important lesson that comes across from the series of article vilifying Guha across secular publication and the video show is that Islamic lobby is more powerful than Sonia Gandhi /missionaries lobby in India.

Harsh Mander says how scared Muslims are in India. Wonder why Rohingya Muslims are coming to India or are being imported to give strength to Indian Muslims, after all they are known to be most violent breed?

Mander also talks about Muslim men’s genitals being crushed and eyes gauged out. He forgets that this happened to Dalit activist Paresh Mesta, a Hindu in Mangalore, on whose head boiling oil was poured apart from all the brutality that Mander describes. He also cannot recall that Ankit Saxena was beheaded, ISISI style for just being Hindu in New Delhi on a busy street. Mander runs away from the fact that young boy Savan Rathod was burnt to death for just being Hindu, in Pune. Not to forget Love Jihad and torture/rape/killing of Hindu girls. But why should anyone be surprised? The whole left, secular, liberal, media cabal survives on the bundle of lies.

Mander reminds that Rahul Gandhi doesn’t speak about Muslims getting lynched!!!! He also promoted two of his upcoming books in the program.

Mander goes on to say, that Muslim women advice their kids to not wear skull cap or say As-salāmu ʿalaykum in public. At this point, Guha musters courage and says that in Kerala, West Bengal and J&K more and more women have started wearing the burka. The fact is that across India, Muslims are asserting their Arabic identity more forcefully. Even in a city like Mumbai, small girls are seen wearing the burka and small boys wearing skull cup to their school.

Both Guha and Mander are very upset that in coastal Karnataka Hindus refuse to get lynched by Muslims without protesting.

In all fairness, between all this Guha, keeps attempting to get back at Mander, sometimes by praising Nanaji Deshmukh and another time reminding what Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar had said about burka. He is so uncomfortable in the show that he goes on to say that ‘in rural Karnataka roads are good and Narendra Modi doesn’t praise Atal Bihari Vajpayee for it’.

One wonders, does Guha realizes his game as a secular is up with left, liberal, secular cabal and was trying to send a message to RSS/BJP, who are in general perceived to be extra sympathetic to such people.

Yes, in between all this choicest of abusive words have been used for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Guha does not forget to make fun of the Gandhian idea of liquor ban.

To sum it up, Guha has been reduced to a sad caricature of himself. The left-liberal secular media cabal is a huge ruthless mafia and is not easy to deviate from their path. Mander says that he expected his article to generate a debate but Guha gave it a different turn. Mander indicates that he wanted it to be in the direction of Hindu/BJP bashing

Last but not the least, Maya Mirchandani the anchor mentions that the lynching of Guha, has given the impression that liberals are divided among themselves. I feel like taking credit for this along with News Bharti.
