For effective governance and welfare, Manipur set to welcome ‘State Selection Commission’

Imphal, April 9: With an aim to enhance proper governance in Manipur, State Selection Commission will be set up for holding routine recruitment of State Government employees. This was announced by the Chief Minister N Biren Singh. 

Chief Minister N Biren Singh informed this while replying to questions in the first-ever interaction session in the State with officers of organised services on Sunday.

Singh said the government will also introduce new Transfer and Promotion Policy of the State Government officers within the shortest possible time.

The interaction session was attended by Cabinet Ministers,MLAs, Autonomous district council representatives, Chief Secretary, DGP and more than 500 officials of the State.

Stating that the objective of the interaction is to explore new ideas to improve the implementation process of the government programmes, the CM said every scheme should reach public in the ground to fulfill Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Sabka sath sabka vikas.’

Seeking suggestions for the smooth implementation of the “Go to Villages” mission which is scheduled to be launched next month, he said, the State level committee has been formed while district level sub-committees will be formed soon. Necessary directives have also been issued to DCs and head of departments to identify the beneficiaries of various schemes and projects. The officers who give best ideas/suggestions would be awarded, he said.
