New Delhi, May 10: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is mainly known for helping Indians living abroad and other foreign nationals too. However, she also sometimes teaches a lesson to the twitteratis who go wrong. This time Sushma Swaraj has given a lesson to a twiterati in political geography who reached out to the minister for help.

A Kashmiri student in the Philippines named Sheikh Ateek on Twitter asked Minister Sushma Swaraj for help with his passport, which he said has got damaged and is required for his return journey to home, India. But he mentioned that he belongs to ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’ in his profile.

Minister Sushma Swaraj replied to the student’s tweet, quoting that she would help if he belongs to the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. She said, “If you are from J&K state, we will definitely help you. But your profile says you are from 'Indian occupied Kashmir'. There is no place like that. @indembmanila.”

Sheikh Ateek after realizing his mistake immediately removed the incorrect description of the place he belongs to. Minutes later, in another tweet, Minister Sushma acknowledged that the student had removed the incorrect description and asked the official in Indian Embassy in Manila to help him. She tweeted saying, “I am happy you have corrected the profile. Jaideep - He is an Indian national from J&K. Pls help him.”

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj while addressing Indian community members at a reception in Riyadh in the month of February said, “Today, Indian Embassies are homes away from home for the Indians who stay out of their country.” By her own hard work and day-night efforts, Sushma Swaraj made this sentence 100% appropriate.
