Srinagar, May 11: Aijaz Ahmad Gojri, a Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist, who was arrested earlier this week along with nine others in connection with the murder of three civilians in Baramulla district on April 30 has appealed to his brothers to shun the path of violence and terrorism and return home.

Notably, the arrested terrorist Aijaz Ahmad Gojri has requested his brothers to shun the path of violence and terrorism and return home through a video that has surfaced on social media and has gone viral. However, in the video, Aijaz also praised Indian security forces for saving his life.

Aijaz, in a video, said, “I request to my all three colleagues named Suhaib Farooq Akhoon, Mohsin Mushtaq Bhat and Nasir Amin Darzi to shun the path of violence and return home.” He further stated that his colleagues have left their homes and the good life and adopted a wrong life.

“We were wandering in jungles for the past six months. I request them to return for their parents. I want to tell Nasir Amin that his mother is very ill and he must return to his mother immediately. Everybody, for God’s sake, return to your homes,” Aijaz pleaded.

While exposing Pakistan and praising Indian security forces, Aijaj said, “Before my arrest, our leaders across the border in Pakistan would tell us bad about the Indian army but that is not true.” “You can yourself judge when you meet them. Talk to them and their officers. It is a conspiracy, a game and they are playing with our lives,” he added.

After the video went viral on social media, Senior superintendent of police, Baramulla, Imtiyaz Hussain confirmed that the video was of Gojri, shot during his stay in the army hospital as he was injured when arrested. “He himself wanted to appeal to his friends,” he added.

On May 7, at least four terrorists and seven over-ground workers (OGWs) were arrested during separate raids led by a joint team of SOG Baramulla, 46RR, 53BN CRPF and 52RR of the army at Drangbal, Old Town Baramulla, and Sopore after receiving a specific input. These terrorists were involved in the killing of three youth in Khanpora on April 30.

The terrorists were identified as Nasir Ahmad Mochi, Bilal Ahmad Najar, Aijaz Ahmad Gojri and Nadeem Kalia alias Ustad. While the six out of seven OGWs were identified as Owais Rashid Bhat, Ozair Ahmad Bhat, Ameen Bhat, Muzamil Bashir, Sharif Bashir Bhat and Nayeem Abdulla. The arms and ammunition including a pistol with an alto car Alto car (JK01J-0010) were seized by the forces.

Importantly, Indian troops whether it is state police or central armed forces including Army, CRPF, BSF etc is known across the world for its bravery and humanity. Indian forces only on the humanitarian grounds ask terrorists to surrender before killing the anti-national elements including terrorists, Naxals and Maoists. Indian forces also give the opportunity to prove innocence to all criminals before punishing them etc.
