Security Forces wipe out one Naxal from Chhattisgarh

Raipur, May 11: Chhattisgarh Police killed a Naxalite in Naxal-affected Rajnandgaon district in an encounter. Police also recovered huge quantities of goods from the possession of the Maoist killed including pressure bombs also.

Police officials of Rajnandgaon district said that under the Bakrkatta police station area of the district, police team killed a Naxalite in an encounter in the forest of Dotaggarh village. According to officials, a joint team of the Indian Tibetan Border Police, DRG, and STF in the Bakarkatta Police Station area was sent for patrol.

When the party was in the forest of Dotaggarh village, the Maoists started firing on this joint party. After this the police team also responded. After some time of firing, the Maoists escaped from there. Later, when the police team searched the spot, the body of a uniformed Naxalite, a pressure bomb, a pistol and other Naxalites were recovered from there.

According to the police, the identities of the Maoists killed in the encounter have not been identified. After the Naxalite body was taken out of the forest, it will be identified. Police have received information that the police were attacked by the CPR commander, Pahad Singh of the GRB Division. About 45 Naxals were involved in the attacking group.
