Travelling gets simpler: PayTm teams up with Andhra Pradesh to allow booking online

Hyderabad, May 11: Making things feasible for the common man, various schemes and tactics have been made applicable. One such ease of transport mode is booking bus tickets with the PayTm Application in Andhra Pradesh. So next time you are travelling to any city in Andhra Pradesh by bus, you can use PayTm to buy your tickets.

 

One97 Communications, the parent company of PayTm, has forged an agreement with Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) to enable seamless bus bookings on 1,250 routes run by APSRTC. The company is also hopeful of inking a deal with Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) soon to start similar services in Telangana as well.

PayTm is currently able to provide intrastate services to its customers, but it says it will soon be providing interstate services as well. "We are glad to partner with APSRTC and make their complete bus inventory accessible to Paytm's strong 300+ Million user base. We have received an overwhelming response from customers and are already driving a significant volume of bookings for APSRTC's services," said Abhishek Ranjan, vice president, PayTm.

"We will continue to partner with more state-run and private bus operators across the region to make life simpler for travellers across Andhra Pradesh," he added

Bus services of nine State-run road transport corporations can now be booked on Paytm.

The others on the listings are Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC), Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC), Patiala and East Punjab States Union (PEPSU), Puducherry Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC).
