Chennai, May 11: Veteran economist S. Gurumurthy once again reiterated that Superstar Rajinikanth along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi can revive the dirty politics in the state of Tamil Nadu. Gurumurthy, Editor of famous magazine Thughlak who shares a warm relationship with the superstar had welcomed Rajani’s political plunge. On several occasions, he advocated the term spiritual politics coined by the national award-winning actor.

According to media reports, speaking to the press reporters during FICCI National Executive Committee meeting, the political commentator stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s implacable administrative skill and Rajinikanth mass appeal can pave the way for better Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, another Leader from Tamil Nadu Subramanian Swamy took a jibe at Gurumurthy and termed his as Rajni Publicity Activist. Reacting sharply to Swamy’s dig, Gurumurthy took to Twitter and wrote, “Media appointed me as adviser to VP Singh. He didn't. Then as Vajpayee's. He didn't. Then as Jayalalithaa's she didn't. Then as Modi's. He didn't. As RSS ideologue. RSS didn't As Rajni's Adviser. He hasn't. I am just a journalist and editor Thuglak magazine.”
