These 4 ‘S’ will connect consumers with electric board in Jharkhand

Ranchi, May 11: Jharkhand cut the ribbon for different consumer services ‘ Saral, Saksham, Sashakt, Suvidha’ of the Department of Energy and distributed appointment letters to the people at Project Building in Ranchi.

CM Raghubar Das while inauguration said, “Every house will be illuminated till Diwali this year. Electricity is essential for development and government aims to make Jharkhand a developed state by 2022. Officers who are not working properly will have to bear consequences.”

Das further added that PM Narendra Modi had called upon that when the 75th Independence Day will be celebrated in 2022, there will be no one left homeless, illiterate, unemployed and without electricity. Jharkhand is moving forward to fulfill this goal.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated four online services on this occasion and said these are simple, convenient, efficient and empowering online services. Everyone should have knowledge of new technology. This will be helpful for consumers and moreover, it will help in eliminating corruption and provide direct access to people.

Das said that 493 new candidates have been provided appointment letters today, which will definitely improve the department’s efficiency.

The Chief Minister went on to say that the state was far behind in the basic infrastructure of electricity but the current government had worked very hard to improve the situation. Underground caballing is being done in Ranchi and other cities. This will help in providing uninterrupted power supply to the people, he added.

The launch of Services Include:

Saral: An Internet-based monitoring which will help in real-time monitoring of projects going on under the corporation. There will be information about transformer repair, maintenance, store inventory etc.

Suvidha: It will allow users to apply for online electricity connections. Along with this, the facility of loading changes, mistake correction etc. will also be available online.

Saksham: Under this service, a new training programme has been introduced for the change in the working style of the Energy Department. The calendar of the whole year has been prepared for skill development. Based on this, the information on current technology will be provided to all employees. The corporation has its own training center in Kusai Colony. Apart from this, 15 other training centers will be set up in all the power supply zones.

Sashkt: An Integrated complaint redressal and supervision system has been introduced for quick execution of complaints of consumers. Consumer complaints will be registered and resolved through a single window. It can also be used through social media, including Facebook and Twitter. A complaint can also be lodged on toll-free numbers 1912, 1800-123-8745, 1800-345-6570.
