Parrikar is currently treating pancreatitis (pancreatic) in a US hospital. He is admitted to the hospital from the first week of March. In the absence of Parrikar, the three-member advisory committee monitors the daily activities of the government.

Parrikar was taken to Lilavati Hospital after complaining of abdominal pain. After which he was discharged on February 22. Considering the health of the Parrikar, the state budget session was reduced from 33 days to 4 days. Although some media reports claimed that Parrikar has pancreatic cancer.
