Kaithal (Haryana), May 14: Senior RSS functionary and Patron of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) Indresh Kumar dared J & K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to ask the Muslims to remain true to their religion in the pious month of Ramzan instead of calling for ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per the tradition of the recent past, an appeal for ceasefire is made by the political leadership of J & K so as to allow peace to prevail in the region. But more often this ceasefire remains a one sided affair with the security forces following it and not lifting their weapons towards the terrorists striking in the J & K region.

This year for the first time Indresh Kumar raised his voice against such lopsided ceasefire demand. He said Muslims should opt for the path of peace, purity and progress instead of gun, bomb and stone pelting to allow the atmosphere of peace to prevail in the J & K making it a heaven once again.

During his brief visit to Kaithal - his hometown- Indresh Kumar was taking to media persons. He said that the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir should make it sure that no one will throw a stone; no incident of firing and bombing will take place in the holy month of Ramzan in the state.

He said that the holy month of Ramzan is the testing opportunity for Pakistan and Muslims to shun the acts that would result in blood spilling, stone throwing and firing. Pakistan should stop the supporting terrorists and exporting terrorism to India. This is also a challenge to all the Muslim leaders, maulanas and clergies, he said.

Expressing regrets over the death of tourists in stone pelting, Indresh Kumar said that foreign vested elements are misleading the Kashmiri youth and engaging them in anti-India activities.

He appealed to the people of Kashmir to ask Pakistan to vacate occupied Kashmir and present a true picture of Ramzan.

Indresh Kumar said that the MRM will be launching a signature campaign in the country against the illegal occupation of China in Tibet and Himalayan territory and demanding them to be vacated soon. People will be asked to boycott the Chinese goods on the occasions of Ramzan, Rakashabandhan, Navratra, Deepavali, Guru Parv, Dr Babasaheb AMbedkar anniversary etc.

Replying to a question on the controversy of Jinnah's portrait in the AMU, Indresh Kumar said that Jinnah's hands are soaked in the bloody killings of lakhs of innocent Hindus and Muslims and he is solely responsible for the partition of the country. That is why not only in AMU but wherever his portrait is hanging they should be removed forthwith. He demanded that Congress and Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the nation for equating Shahid Bhagat Singh with Jinnah.

He also appealed to the Supreme Court to expedite the justice in the case of Ramjanmabhumi. He said that though there are many churches, there is only one Vatican; though there are many mosques, the Mecca is the only holy place for Muslims, there are many Gurudwaras but one Golden Temple, similarly there can be many Ram Temples, but Ramjanmabhumi is one and that is at Ayodhya in India.
