Gandhinagar, May 14: Expressing satisfaction over the progress of state government’s ambitious water conservation drive, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that sound water management will pave the way for drought free Gujarat. Charing the review meeting of Sujalam Sufalam scheme of six-districts, observing the overwhelming response, the Chief Minister announced that state government will continue this campaign up-to three years.

On this occasion, Rupani directed officials to clearer the pending assignments before the rainy session. He expressed that effective steps are being taken to safeguard the water resources for 50 years. On Gujarat day, Chief Minister Rupani unveiled the drive for the conservation of water where state administration and citizens have teamed up to fight against acute water scarcity in the region.
