Speaking on occasion, Shri Manoj Sinha said Indian Railways has been making many efforts for providing connectivity all over the country and giving access to the countrymen along with making travel easy and comfortable. This Antyodaya Train will make it easy to commute to those travelling from Bihar to Punjab thus providing connectivity to the people of Bihar.He further said that, the Indian Railways will continue their efforts to provide safe and comfortable journey to their passengers. Darbhanga-Jalandhar Antyodaya Express train will sport many modern features. These modern features will include extra cell phone charging points, bio-toilets, RO water supply system as well as two equipments for firefighting.
According to the railways officials, the 22551 weekly Antyodaya Express train would leave Darbhanga (every Saturday) at 3.25 am and reach Jalandhar at 5.10 am the next day. On its return trip, the 22552 train would depart from Jalandhar city at 10 am and reach Darbhanga at 11.30 am the next day. The trains would have 10-minute halt at Ludhiana in both directions. With all general/unreserved coaches, the train would have stoppages at Ludhiana, Sahnewal, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Laksar, Moradabad, Bareilly, Sitapur Cantt, Gorakhpur, Narkatiaganj, Betia, Sangauli, Raxaul and Sitamarhi.
