Gujarat to introduce new policy to curb delay in town-planning

Gandhinagar, May 16: In a bid to clear the ongoing town-planning projects, Gujarat government has decided to appoint senior officers to monitor the ambitious project of housing for all. Charing the review meeting of the urban development department, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani directed officials to fine tune the work of 425 projects under various town-planning schemes.

The state government is all set to bring amendments in current Town planning act to ensure the hassle-free implementation. During this meeting, Rupani asked officials to chalk out the plans to curb the alleged procedural delay in finalization of new projects.
