Cabinet meet in Floating boat in Tehri lake; Uttararakhand finds innovative way to boost tourism

Dehradun, May 17: Uttarakhand has put a further step towards becoming a tourism state. With the help of tourism, the decision to give hundreds of new opportunities for employment with the development of the state economy, Trivendra Singh Rawat Cabinet meeting in floating marina (floating boat) in Tehri Lake while taking a unique initiative.

 

To grant industry status to tourism, the amendment in the MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) policy has been stamped. On the other hand, 11 new activities have been added to increase the scope of the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali scheme to create new opportunities for employment, including Keqing, terrain biking, caravan, angling, star gazing, bird watching, floating hotel building, bakery and laundry.

 

According to the budget's ambitious announcement, 13 new tourist destinations have been approved in 13 districts.

Government spokesman and cabinet minister Madan Kaushik briefed the Cabinet's decision. He told that many activities related to tourism related to the MSME policy were given the status of the industry. Enterprises like Rejuvenation Resort, Ayurveda, Yoga, Panchkarma, Bungee Jumping, Joy Riding, Surfing, Camping, Rafting will now come under MSME Policy.

 

Entrepreneurs coming in this area will get all the facilities under the said policy. In other important decisions, AYUSH and Wellness have been brought under the mega investment industrial policy. This includes 22 activities like Hotel, Resort, Keqing, Sea Plane Industry, Ayurveda, Yoga.

These places will be developed as tourist destinations:

Almora district: Katarmal, Nainital district: Mukteswar, Pauri: Khairasainan (Satpuli), Charoli: Gairsain, Dehradun: Lakhandal, Haridwar: 52 Shaktipeeth Park, Uttarkashi: Harakidun, Mori, Tehri: Tehri Lake, Rudraprayag: Chirabatia, Udhamsinghnagar: Gular Bhoj Champawat: Devidhora, Bageshwar: Garuda Valley and Pithauragarh, Most Manu.
