Uttarakhand makes Transgender socially secure; lists several benefits for them

Dehradun, May 17: In the important decision, the state cabinet has taken divorced, abandoned, single women as well as the transgender in the purview of social security. They will get benefits under the Pandit Deendayal Samajik Sahayta Suraksha Yojana (PDDSSY).

The Cabinet also nodded for giving a loan of Rs one lakh to the divorced, abandoned, single woman or transgender at the rate of 1% per annum and also the state government has decided to build up by fund of Rs 50 lakh in PDDSSY. The committee will be headed by the committee formed at the district level.

In this, Chief Development Officer is the Chairman. The Cabinet has now approved the integrated rules for personal assistants in different sectors of the state. For this, promotion of posts of individual assistance under the services of Uttarakhand state government and subordinate office personal assistant direct recruitment rules have been approved.

The Cabinet orders the proposal to take the Jagadguru Madhavashram Dharmarth Hospital in Rudraprayag for the state operation.

The Cabinet meeting was held in a floating boat in Tehri Lake which was a unique way or idea to boost the tourism and make the sector as an industry.
