New Delhi, May 18: Looking out for a shining sunny day has been a dream for many in the northern states. Bright shining day has transformed into a nightmare for people as the weather is in no mood to calm down. The India Meteorological Department has issued an advisory to the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and the Lakshadweep archipelago over cyclonic storm Sagar.

The cyclone Sagar has been seen to hit the coastal areas of India and therefore the IMD has advised the fisherman to stay safe and avoid entering any area which is close to the sea.

The IMD advised fishermen not to venture into Gulf of Aden and adjoining areas of west central and southwest Arabian Sea for the next 48 hours. Gale winds speed reaching 70-80 kilometers per hour gusting to 90 kmph are very likely around the system centre covering Gulf of Aden and adjoining areas of west central and southwest Arabian Sea during the next 24 hours. The cyclone is then expected to gradually decrease thereafter.

Sea condition will be high around the system centre covering Gulf of Aden and adjoining areas of west central and southwest Arabian Sea during the next 24 hours.
