Hyderabad/Bengaluru, May 18: Welcoming Supreme Court’s verdict on Karnataka development, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accused Karnataka governor Vajubhai Vala of misusing Constitutional position. He was speaking to the media after the ruling of the apex court on JD(S)-Congress joint petition.

The senior Congress leader questioned the move of Karnataka Governor for allowing B S Yeddyurappa to form a government with the support of only 104 MLAs. Responding to the various media reports on Congress MLA switching sides, Siddaramaiah stated that all 78 Cong and 38 JD(S) are in contact with party officials. Launching a serious attack on BJP, Siddaramaiah said that BJP leaders are shamelessly following unethical practices crafted by its National Chief Amit Shah.

Today, the apex court while hearing the matter of JD(S)-Congress has directed BS Yeddyurappa to prove majority on the floor of the house. The apex court also curtailed the 15- day time period approved by governor Vajubhai Vala. Meanwhile, the newly appointed Karnataka Chief Minister expressed confidence that his party will strike the gold in tomorrow’s floor test. Yeddyurappa reiterated that BJP has enough number to prove its majority.
