Kolkata, May 19: The West Bengal Panchayat Elections has been a series of many ups, and downs, violence, and terror. Despite ruling Trinamool Congress sweeping the panchayat elections of West Bengal, BJP has made its mark in the tribal-dominated regions of the state by outperforming TMC in many segments in the west and northern parts of the state.

A story of victory and smiles of happiness came out as lotus bloomed in tribal-dominated segments in Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, Paschim Medinipur, Birbhum, Malda, Uttar Dinajpur and Dakshin Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar districts. Pouring emotions of trust and belief among the people of tribal areas, the Bhartiya Janata Party saw winning strides as the tribal people have become vexed and are supporting BJP.

West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh has hailed this as a ‘beginning of downfall’ of TMC, he also said that the party has strengthened their organizational strength in the tribal areas by nominating youths to the leadership positions.

The tribal people have given their verdict and supported the women power sweeping the Trinamool Congress Party. The women in the areas have emerged as winners and have pledged to work for the betterment of the masses. The areas consist of tribal people and in politics, it is also important that the parties know the problems faced at the grassroots level. Terror has been swept away by the people as they know what is appropriate for them.

Instances of the TMC party reigning the seat by winning the panchayat elections, they have duped to a level where the democracy has been hampered and scenes of ballot boxes being tampered have come in front.

All erstwhile Maoist-dominated Gram Panchayats Lalgarh, Belpahari, Jamboni, Gopiballavpur, Nayagram and Sankrail of Jhargram district have been bagged by BJP. In another formerly LWE-affected Purulia, BJP won all Gram Panchayats in Balarampur area and in Sarenga and Raipur areas of Bankura district.
