Mumbai, May 24: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today suggested that Central government should bring petrol and diesel under the ambit of Goods and Services Tax.  Speaking to the media on the issues of the existing rise in fuel prices, the Chief Minister informed that center is closely following the matter where a task force has been constituted to fine tune the policy framework to normalize oil pricing.

Fadnavis informed that Maharashtra state government is in favor of the restructuring of fuel prices if brought under GST. He opined that center will consult all states and other stakeholders to lock the proposal on oil tariffs.
