Ballari, May 3: Leaving no stone unturned Prime Minister again opened up his second rally for today in Ballari in Karnataka. Ardently pointing out at Congress, PM Modi said Congress has ruined the rich history and legacy of Ballari. By defaming Ballari, they have disrespected the people of this district.

Further PM Modi also recalled the famous Vijayanagara Empire, Hakka Bukka, Vidyaranyaru, Sri Krishnadevaraya, Kanaka Dasar, Purandara Das. He said that instead of proclaiming the glory of Vijayanagara, the Congress government has always played with the politics and governance system.

Not even a single work is possible without corruption and bribery. Look at rising illegal mining in the state. Congress government in Karnataka could not even frame a strong mining policy, he lashed out Congress for ‘failure governance’.

Addressing huge audience cheering for BJP, PM Modi said Karnataka has a 'Sidda-Rupaiah Sarkar'. It has created a debt-burden for the state. People can no longer tolerate them. They will give a strong reply on 12th May.

Talking about the efforts taken by the Bhartiya Janata Party, PM Modi said that when we had got the opportunity to serve people of Karnataka earlier, so many development initiatives were undertaken. But sadly, the Congress could not even ensure proper water supply despite the state being rich in water resources.

In this ‘Sidda-Rupaiah Sarkar, due to their misdeeds, the public is drowning in debt, but the treasures of the Congress leaders are increasing, said PM Modi. The money allotted to the Karnataka is been used up by the contractors, loots, Congress workers etc and beneficiaries don’t get their benefits. Due to the worst policies of Karnataka Government the public is suffering whereas the property of congress leaders is increasing, he added. PM Modi took a dig at CM Siddaramaiah, saying Rupaiyya Government is giving tickets to such people who have charges of corruption. A common person of karnataka can't get his work done without giving bribe.

Hinting at corrupt Congress, PM Modi said “Sonia Madam promised Rs 3000 crore package when she fought election from Ballari. However, after winning election she failed to fulfill her promise. Congress government in Karnataka is in 'sleep mode.' They did not spend the funds Centre allocated for development of the state.”

State government woke up from the slumber just before the elections. It reflects how serious they are towards the problems of people, said PM Modi. Ours is a sensitive government which looks after the aspirations of people and then formulate policies. Through the Fasal Bima Yojana we have been able to ensure welfare of farmers, assured PM Modi.

Further he informed that we wanted OBC Commission to get Constitutional status but the Congress did not let it happen. The Congress does vote-bank politics. They divide people on the grounds of caste. They are insensitive towards the tribal communities and the OBCs. Like in the previous rally (Kalaburagi) he said, PM Modi also mentioned in this rally saying that during the last election, Congress promised to make Kharge Ji CM. They misled the Dalit community and sidelined him.

When BJP got the opportunity to form government under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, we made Dr APJ Kalam, a Muslim, the President of India, PM Modi highlighted. Congress used to term us as 'Mahila Virodhi'. But see, now we have a Defence Minister who is a woman and she is a member in the Parliament from Karnataka itself, PM Modi said. Karnataka can be proud that the first female @DefenceMinIndia was elected from Karnataka, he added.

Ballari is replete with natural resources. We changed laws relating to mining which means income from the mining will be used for the development of the local region, PM Modi added. Due to the changes in the law in mining brought by the BJP, Karnataka state collected Rs 900 Crores which belongs to the people of Karnataka. However, only Rs 45 lakh have been spent from it. It reflects their reluctance for the development, he added further.

Congress never promoted the textile sector and cloth industry in Karnataka. We have formulated a new Textile Policy which will significantly benefit the sector as well as generate employment opportunities for people, he reminded the people.

Kicking off his Karnataka election campaign trail with lots of zeal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit Kalaburagi today to continue rallying. Welcomed by heaps of enthusiasm, PM Modi expressed gratefulness saying “the enthusiasm in Kalaburagi shows- the people of Karnataka will even bear the May heat but they can no longer stand the Congress government. There is anger against the Karnataka government and it is visible all over.”
