New Delhi, May 31: Senior JD(U) leader and Rajya Sabha MP KC Tyagi today asked Modi government to review the decision of increased fuel charges. His reactions came after the result of Jokihat assembly seat where o Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal Shahnawaz Alam routed ruling party’s candidate Murshid Alam.

Linking by-poll results with public resentment, Tyagi suggested that strong steps should be taken in order to regularize the oil tariff. Referring to the public anger the JD(U) leader demanded that government should shelve the move of fuel price rise.

According to media reports, one section of JD(U) headed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is not happy with the existing tie-up between BJP and JD(U) over the non-fulfillment of the demand of special category status on the lines of Andhra Pradesh.

The results of by-polls might hamper the cordial relationship between Nitish Kumar and BJP. Earlier, the JD(U) President had already expressed his reservation on the move of demonetization.
