New York, May 4: Grabbing eye a ball for her exemplary performance, Priyanka Chopra has not gone unnoticed becoming the first-ever South Asian actor to lead a broadcast show in television history with “Quantico,” which debuted in 2015. Standing firm on her ideologies of feminism Priyanka Chopra slays it once again making it wide clear that her ethnicity in Hollywood does not drive her merit or work.

Working with the same passion and intensity, the Quantico actor explains how Kerry Washington managed to do for women of color coming into mainstream network television, and she thinks that ‘Quanitco’ is a really big step in that direction as well for expanding the parameters of women of color and also immigrant women who come into the country and want to be part of global entertainment.

Recalling her meetings while teaming up for the TV Series, PeeCee elaborates that when she signed the contract she was a known name in the Bollywood and she never wanted to perform a role that makes it a stereotypical Indian character. She never wanted to get stereotype which usually happens when you perform in Hollywood. As an actor, PeeCee wanted to deliver her job that had nothing to do with her color or her ethnicity.

Now that she has a global platform as the star of a major network TV show, Chopra is doing her part to work toward the momentous progress for equality for women in entertainment. She wants to create a change in the working process. She has been working hard in creating jobs for women as now she is also a producer referencing jobs ranging from female directors to technical staffs, which are predominantly filled with men on TV and film sets.

Even if it shaming Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra says it loud that job has nothing to do with gender and ethnicity of the person. Being an instrumental tool for creating job opportunities for people who deserve to be known and have talent based on sheer talent.
