Washington, May 4: The United States (US) on Thursday appreciated the informal meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping that was held in Wuhan last week saying it was a good thing that the world leaders were getting along.

Notably, during a daily news conference White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was asked to comment on the summit after which she said that the Trump administration had good relations with both India and China, and wanted things to continue down the same road.

Sarah Sanders said, “I certainly think it’s always good when other world leaders are getting along.” “And, certainly, when we can cooperate, that’s definitely a good thing. We have a great relationship with both countries and hope to continue to do so,” Sanders added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping held an informal meeting in China for two days in a bid to improve bilateral trade and to improve communication over military and security matters. Immediately after the informal meet, the two countries decided to setup military hotline services at the DGMO level in a bid to fill communication gap between two Armies.
