RSS blasts lies of Rahul Gandhi on reservation issue

New Delhi, May 7: Annoyed by the consistent propaganda by the Congress President Rahul Gandhi aimed at painting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as anti-reservationist, the RSS has taken the Gandhi scion to task on Moday.

The statement issued by RSS Sah-Sarkaryawah Dr Manmohan Vaidya blamed the Congress party and its president Rahul Ganhdi for consistently misguiding the society by their lies and deceit.

The official Face Book page of Rahul Gandhi has shared a ‘blatant lie’ in the name of RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat and Dr Manmohan Vaidya in which he had claimed that the RSS intended to end the reservations granted to the members of the SC/ST communities by the Constitution of India.

 Dr Vaidya said in a statement that these allegations were ‘flagrant lie and absolutely baseless’. He dared Rahul Gandhi to furnish authentic references or sources to substantiate his claims, if he had some honesty.

The statement further said, “The constitutional provisions of reservations for the Scheduled Castes/Tribes are because of the social inequalities that unfortunately exist in the Hindu society. It has been the official stand of RSS that these reservations should continue. The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha has reiterated this from time to time through its resolutions”.

Strongly condemning the heinous and unwelcome conduct of Rahul Gandhi, Dr Vaidya further said that the RSS was committed and engaged in creating an egalitarian and harmonious society in the country that is free from social inequalities. Rahul Gandhi and Congress party's campaign is a political swindle based on lies and falsehood.
