Chikamagalur, May 9: Empty vessels sound much, likewise Congress has always been chattering and insulting the efforts taken by Bhartiya Janata Party for the welfare of farmers, women and youths. As the campaigning gets severe day by day, Prime Minister in his Chikamagluru rally smashed down Congress for failing at every step.

Addressing the rally, Prime Minister Modi informed people about the intentions of Congress which is only to come to power and not to serve the people. He said “Congress only wants to remain in power. In 1978, Indira Ji came here, took your votes but never cared for people of this region. Congress never thought about the welfare of people of Chikmagalur. Sonia Ji too contested from Bellari, but what happened to promises made in Bellari.”

Congress fears defeat in these elections. They are spreading lies that there would be a hung assembly in Karnataka. Throughout the day, a Congress leader thinks only about one thing - how to be the Prime Minister? Such is the arrogance of the 'Naamdaars', PM Modi said.

Speaking on the immature approach of Congress, he said Congress party, after facing defeats in every election, are busy criticizing the EVMs and the Election Commission. For them EVM and EC are wrong and only Congress is right. When our army conducts surgical strikes, instead to appreciating the valour of our Jawans, Congress shamefully calls them wrong and asks for proofs. When the World Bank and other rating agencies present reports on India's easing business environment and the country's growth, then also Congress alleges that they are wrong, he added.

Speaking on the incapability of such minds to come to power, PM Modi said Congress leaders are out on bail in a Rs. 5000 crore scam. They now question the judiciary and even call for the impeachment of the Chief Justice.

Income Tax department conducted raids in Badami. Huge stashes of cash and jewellery were seized. Such acts of Congress are defaming Badami and entire Karnataka, PM Modi informed.

BJP has brought many schemes to benefit farmers, PM Modi further questioned: What did the Congress government in Karnataka do to tackle water shortage the farmers face? They did not even complete the Upper Bhadra project which the BJP had initiated earlier.

“I would not let your sweat go in waste, your love and sacrifice will be repaid to you by my government with interest”, PM Narendra Modi promised the people while addressing the political rally in Koppal, Karnataka on Tuesday.
