Seeking blessings from Goddess Sita, PM Modi set to embark Nepal trip from Janakpur on 11 May

New Delhi, May 9: Viewing the strengthening demographics of India with China, India is tightening its diplomatic relations with a friendly gesture with other countries. On his next destination, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to embark a two day visit to Nepal on 11th and 12th May.

PM Narendra Modi will begin his trip from the historic place of Janakpur in Nepal. PM Oli will receive PM Modi at the Janaki temple. Carrying religious and cultural background, the city is also known as Janakpurdham where the Janaki temple is dedicated to Goddess Sita as it is her birthplace.

Major announcement is expected on development of Janakpur and the Ramayan tourism Circuit.

Addressing the press conference, Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs Raveesh Kumar also informed that PM Modi will visit Nepal on 11th & 12th of May. Apart of Kathmandu, Indian PM will visit Janakpur and Muktinath. External Affairs Miniter Sushma Swaraj is also set to visit Myanmar on 10th and 11th of May.

 

Speaking over the track to diplomacy between India and Pakistan, MEA spokesperson said that “we have seen the reports. This is the meet between two civil societies. Functional exchanges will continue. No change in policy. Terror and talks can’t go together. We haven’t diluted policy.”

During his state visit to India from April 6 to 8, Oli had extended an invitation to Modi to visit Nepal. This is PM Modi’s third visit to Nepal.
