Technology Students! Apply for internship scheme and be the part of Digital India initiative

New Delhi, May 9: This initiative will act a bridge between the government’s Digital India dream and the students because an innovative programme has been launched by the Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad today. Under this initiative, a website of Digital India Internship Scheme has been launched.

Under this scheme, 25 interns will be inducted for a period of three months. Briefing media, the minister said, these interns will be paid a stipend of 10 thousand rupees per month. Prasad complimented NIC who will take 10 interns separately.

 

In his official tweet Minister Prasad says, “Bright students in the field of technology can now work with Govt of India and learn about the application of technology for improving lives of citizens through Digital India Internship.”

He appealed to the youth to apply to the internship programme saying that Digital India is important in the scheme of things. The Minister asked officials to train the interns properly and handhold them in such a way that they get the incentive for the future.

The internship is an opportunity for a student to secure first hand and practical work experience under the guidance of qualified and experienced Supervisor and Mentor. It also aims at active participation in the learning process through experimentation and putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the classrooms.
