Gujarat govt serious about farmer’s plight: CM Rupani

Rajkot, June 11: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that state government is taking various steps to revamp existing structure of Agriculture. Addressing the function organized by Zee media group, Rupani stated that BJP government at center and state is committed to resolving the issues faced by the farmer. He informed that development scheme of worth Rs five thousand crores has been cleared to boost the agro-infrastructure in the state.

Commenting on the ongoing nationwide protest of farmers over various demands, the Chief Minister accused opposition parties of politicizing farmer protest for pity electoral benefits. He mentioned that farmers of Gujarat will not pay heed to such provocations.

Talking about the anti-graft programmes run by state government, Rupani asserted that zero-tolerance policy against corruption will strengthen the process of good governance. He added that optimum use of new-age technology will improve the delivery system with minimum leakages.
