India commends #TrumpKimSummit positive development, says it will bring peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula

New Delhi, June 12: As the world witness the most historic summit which was once impossible, appreciation and applauds are pouring from every nook and corner of the world. India also expressed appreciation over the Trump and Kim Summit. Welcoming the US North Korea Summit held in Singapore, India cited it as a positive development.

 

India has always pitched for developing and maintaining good relations with each and every country. In regard to the historic summit, India stated that it has always supported all efforts to bring about peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula through dialogue and diplomacy. It further stated that India hopes that the outcomes of the U.S.-DPRK Summit will be implemented, thus paving the way for lasting peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula.

 

It also mentioned, “We also hope that the resolution of the Korean Peninsula issue will take into account and address our concerns about proliferation linkages extending to India’s neighborhood.”

Making heads turn Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un made the impossible possible by finally holding the much-awaited summit on June 12 in Singapore. Attaining to hold cordial relations both the leaders signed a comprehensive agreement on denuclearization.

Speaking at the press conference, United States President Donald Trump slated the points of the agreement citing that this summit has prepared to make new history. Writing a new chapter the world will witness changes in the relations with both the nations.

Citing that Kim Jong Un has committed to the destroying missile engine test site, denuclearization is a long process. Until then the sanctions imposed on North Korea will remain as same for now and later would look for lifting up the sanctions. North Korea denuclearization process will start 'very quickly’.

Further emphasizing the developments of the meeting, US Prez Donald Trump said that the US will stop holding military exercises on the Korean peninsula, follow up US-North Korea talks to take place next week.

On an informal note, the discussion between the leaders has been very healthy and therefore both have agreed to visit the nations to further improvise their relations. Donald Trump also cited Kim Jong Un to be a good leader and invited him to visit the White House and also looks forward to traveling to North Korea.
