JD(S) will keep promise of loan waiver: Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy

Bengaluru, June 14: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy assured that appropriate steps will be taken to keep the promise of loan waiver. Speaking to the media, after visiting Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Kumaraswamy informed that state government is working on the plan of loan waiver and provision with the specific quantum of farm loan waiver would be made in the forthcoming budget.
When asked about the mechanism of loan waiver, the Karnataka Chief Minister stated that stakeholder and concern authorities are deliberating on the proposed action plan. Kumaraswamy, who also heads the finance ministry added that state administration is judiciously dealing with the each and every aspect associated with farmers. The Chief Minister reiterated that state government is committed to safeguarding the interests of farmers and urged farmers not to take any extreme step.
