PM Modi cuts ribbon for multiple projects giving keys of development to Chhattisgarh

Raipur, June 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Integrated Command and Control Centre set up at Naya Raipur along with Bhilai Steel Plant and Air Service between Jagdalpur and Raipur in Chhattisgarh.

 
 

These are the multiple projects inaugurated by PM Modi:

Integrated Command and Control Centre

 

The center will control and monitor online water and power supply, sanitation, traffic movement, integrated building management, city connectivity and Internet infrastructure, under one roof. The monitoring of Naya Raipur city will also be carried out from the facility.

Speaking on the inaugural session, PM Modi said that Naya Raipur town has become the country's first greenfield smart city. Water, electricity, street lights, sewage, transport and the entire city monitoring will all be from the corresponding centers. New Raipur will now also serve a precedent for the country's second Smart Cities.

 

Modernized and expanded unit of the Bhilai steel plant


 

Prime Minister also dedicated a modernized and expanded unit of the Bhilai steel plant to the nation. He also laid the foundation stone for the new building of IIT Bhilai, besides, launching the second phase of Bharat Net project. He addressed a public meeting at Bhilai.

Speaking on the dedication, PM Modi said that Bhilai has not only created steel but also lives society and country. A modern and transformed steel plant of Bhilai will now work to strengthen the foundation of new India as well as steel. You have experienced yourself how the photo of the steel plant changed after. All these schemes will lead to employment and education in the state. Modi said, projects worth more than 22,000 crore rupees will add a new chapter to the development of the state.

 
 


Foundation Stone of IIT Bhilai Permanent Campus



 PM Modi laid the foundation stone of state's first IIT institution's permanent campus, IIT Bhilai,  this institute will be a hub of educational excellence & technological innovation for students across India.

PM Modi said that today IIT Bhilai's own caps have been foundation stone laying. The IIT caps of the cost of around Rs 1,100 crore will become a pilgrimage of technology and technical education for the meritorious students of Chhattisgarh and the country, always motivating them to do something new

Inauguration of Air service

 
 

Air service between Raipur and Jagdalpur was also inaugurated by the Prime Minister during his day-long visit to Chhattisgarh. With the commencement of this service, Maoist affected tribal Bastar region has come on country’s aviation map. The air services from Raipur and Jagdalpur has been launched under center’s UDAAN scheme.

PM Modi said, “Today, the flight from Jagdalpur to Raipur has also begun. From Jagdalpur to Raipur, the distance time of 6 to 7 hour has come to only 40 minutes. These are the policies of the government that more passengers are traveling by flights than AC trains .”

 

After dedicating multiple projects to the nation in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Modi addressed a public meeting. He said, “We ensured that any part of the earning that will yield to the mineral must be spent on local residents. Chhattisgarh has also received an additional amount of more than Rs 3 thousand crore. These expenses are in hospital, school, roads, making toilets.”
