Washington DC, June 15: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today condemned the statement of NCP leader and former union minister Sharad Pawar on the reports of Modi’s alleged assassination plot.

As quoted by ANI, Fadnavis who is currently in the United States expressed displeasure over the reaction of veteran NCP leader. The Chief Minister urged political parties not to politicize the matter which involves the security of Prime Minister Modi.

During a party meeting, Pawar had questioned the findings of security agencies regarding alleged threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His reaction came after the arrest of five people in connection with Bhima-Koregaon violence in the month of January.

Pawar accused BJP of playing threat letter card to gain the sympathy from people. He was referring to an alleged Maoist letter from an activist who was associated with 'Elgar Parishad'. Pune police had produced the documents revealing the alleged assassination plan of Prime Minister Modi.
