National Health Protection Mission ‘Ayushman Bharat’ launched in Himachal to provide best health services

Shimla, June 15: In a bid to provide best health services to the people of the State, Ayushman Bharat–National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM) was launched in the Himachal Pradesh.

 

Notably, Himachal Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar participated in the Health Ministers Conclave at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday. On this occasion, Union Health Minister exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding with the Health Ministers of 20 States including Himachal Pradesh marking their commitment towards the launch of the Ayushman Bharat.

Speaking on the occasion Vipin Singh Parmar said that State Government was committed to provide best health services to the people of the State and added that Ayushman Bharat Rashtriya Swasthya Suraksha Mission would prove a boon to the poor and needy persons as it envisions to cover 50 crore beneficiaries across the country.

He said that State Government was already making efforts for implementation of the scheme and added that directions have been issued to all Deputy Commissioners and CMOs and video conferencing has been conducted for holding discussions about its implementation module. Data entry work in rural areas was in progress and added that out of 2,37,199 families entry of 49,507 families has been done in rural areas whereas in urban areas, data verification of 36,998 families out of 41,019 was complete and entry would be done soon.

The Minister, in the end, said that 175 hospitals were registered under RSBY which would also provide services under this mission and process of registering other hospitals was also in progress. “Goals for successful implementation of the Scheme would be fixed during this month in a meeting with Additional Chief Secretary Health,” he concluded.
